Asiago is a pretty, traditional small town in Italy with extensive modern sports facilities and a large ski area scattered into 12 separate small areas, it is 2010m above sea level. The village is based in Asiago Highland where the sun and snow never lack. Asiago is the kind of place which allows everyone to spend a holiday on the snow although it has far more to offer than skiing alone. The village offers a vast range of opportunities with walks in the historical centre, shops and clubs. This is a quiet location where you can enjoy a white week skiing and enjoying the scenic views.
Venera is Asiago’s highest ski area and has great guaranteed snow from December to April. There is terrain to suit all levels and desires, from gentle groomed runs to more extreme challenges. The resort also boasts Europe’s largest cross country ski area and the region annually hosts the famous Marcia Bianca ski marathon, as well as other world class competitions. There are seven cross country skiing areas within the region boasting over 500km of track in total, most of which are set on two levels, around 1000m and 1500m. Ski routes run from the outskirts of town, leading through sheltered forests and open plains, and out across the rolling hills. With the highest lift and ski slopes below 2500m the resort is not always snow sure.
There is 40km of downhill slopes altogether and the resort has been given a five star rating for beginners, the resort has three black runs, seven red runs and thirteen blue runs. There are 64 ski lifts and the maximum vertical is 500m.
Location and Access
The nearest airport to Asiago is Venice / Venezia at a distance of approximately 121km, there are five airports within a two hour drive of the resort. The nearest train station is Vicenza and is around 55 minutes from the resort. Asiago has good road links and regular bus services through the town.

There is a large number and variety of accommodation types in Asiago. When planning a visit to the village you will be faced with a choice between quality hotels, self catering apartments, chalets, bed and breakfasts and hostels. Many of the hotels are four or five stars and are attached to quality eating establishments, theses are ideal for singletons and couples looking for a bit of luxury. The hostels in the area ideal for skiers on a budget, and the chalets and apartments are perfect for families and groups.
