Cervinia is constantly increasing in popularity; this is due to its long hours of sun, excellent ski conditions, variety of runs and compact resort centre offering plenty of ski activities. With an area pass the ski area opens up to include Zermatt in Switzerland which offers of very exciting and challenging skiing. Skiing in Crevinia

Cervinia is an excellent choice for the intermediate skier, with its long sweeping runs that feature occasional mogul fields to add extra interest. Also not to be missed is the Ventina, an 8km run from Plateau Rosa, which is also ideal for beginners growing in confidence. On a sunny day a ski away to Zermatt is an ideal way to enjoy the sights and the selection of runs and ski lifts conveniently link the two countries and their ski areas. For beginners the Cretaz lift serves a good number of sunny nursery slopes leading down to the resort centre. Additional easy slopes are plentiful at Plan Maison and under the exceptional tuition of a Breuil ski school instructor, beginners make fast progress and are soon moving up to higher more challenging slopes.

With no less than 7 black runs, there is plenty to satisfy the more advanced skier. There are 28 runs considered difficult the longest of which is 22km. The long run back to Plan Torrette is not for the faint hearted nor is the Bardony mogul run. On the Swiss side there is plenty of excitment including some very challenging runs under the Furi cable car. The resort boasts 73 lifts, 8km of cross country skiing, 1 glacier and 1 snowboard park.
